February in Alanya means an average of +18°C by day and +10°C at night. The sea has cooled to +17°C, and only the Norwegians swim. But for walking — it's just right.

The morning outing

A sweatshirt or a light fleece, with a windbreaker over the top. Turks "insist" on adding a scarf, but that's more of a ritual. Trainers — ideally waterproof: February brings short but heavy showers.

The afternoon stroll

Between 1 and 3 p.m. the air warms to +21–22°C. You take off the windbreaker and stay in a T-shirt. The locals have been dressing this way since late January — the tourists are afraid to.

What you won't need

  • A hat
  • A warm coat
  • Winter boots

What you definitely will need

  • Sunglasses
  • A compact automatic umbrella
  • A thin scarf for the evening — by the sea it turns noticeably colder after sunset.
