Mahmutlar is one of the most budget resorts on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It used to be a city with local municipal government, but today it is the administrative region of Alanya. It is 8 kilometres from the historic centre of the popular resort of the Turkish Riviera. You can get from
Alanya to Mahmutlar and back by city bus, No.1, No.2, No.3. The bus fare is 2 lira.
Three main streets of Mahmutlar align to the coastline. The first is waterfront street, the central Barbarossa Street is located 100 meters from it, and the third is Ataturk Street. The small streets crossing those three lead to the sea.
