Konaklı is a town 12 kilometres west of Alanya's centre that, over the past five years, has been rapidly transforming into a full-fledged resort district. And Konaklı's chief advantage is its balance of price, sea, and infrastructure.

1+1 apartments in Konaklı's new projects start at $85,000, and 2+1 apartments at

20,000. That's 25–30% cheaper than comparable projects in Mahmutlar, with almost identical build quality and a wider choice of apartments with a sea view.

Konaklı's beaches are among the best on Alanya's western coast. A long stretch of fine pebble and sand, clean, transparent water, an EU Blue Flag. On weekends even residents of central Alanya come here.

Among the downsides is the distance from the centre. The dolmuş to Alanya takes 35–40 minutes, and a taxi costs 150 lira. There's no developed nightlife, and in the off-season many restaurants close. But that is precisely what attracts those seeking quiet.

The district's investment potential is very high. In two years a seafront promenade is set to be completed, and three kilometres away a new Marriott hotel is under construction. That will pull the whole market up with it.
